Fixed prosthetics

Fixed prosthetics includes individual crowns, bridges and other fixed prosthetic aesthetic elements that are permanently cemented into the mouth of the patient.

Crowns

Crowns are dental coverings – artificial teeth placed on natural teeth, which replace the severely and / or aesthetically unacceptable teeth. The tooth, which is being rebuilt, requires prior grinding (adapting) so that a crown could be placed on top. It takes a few days to build a crown, during which period a temporary crown is placed. In the final stage, the crown is cemented with the glass-ionomer cement on the grinded tooth. In our clinic we offer the highest quality material crowns, which are functionally and aesthetically at the highest level, whereby we take into account the different needs and desires of the patient. We will offer you the following materials, and after a consultation with our dentist and technician, we will try to find the best choice for you;

Empress or E.max ceramics – full ceramic crowns used to achieve excellent aesthetics with their transparency, translucency and the ability to imitate natural teeth. Primarily it is placed on the polished teeth during the restoration of the frontal jaw region. This material will give the best results if your polished teeth have a nice white colour.

Cercon Ceramics (Zirconium Oxide Zr02) – a completely ceramic material characterized by high strength, biocompatibility and transparency; while at the same time providing a natural appearance of the tooth. Because of its strength, it is used both in the front as well as in the back region.

Metal ceramics – the base of the material is chromium, cobalt and it is fully covered with ceramics, so the metal is not visible. The main advantages of this material are affordability, strength and elasticity.

Golden ceramics – biocompatible material recommended for patients who are allergic to metal, with durable prosthetic work which meets the aesthetic needs of the patient, and the material does not lose its value.

Bridges

Bridges are used to replace one or more lost teeth. As their name says, dental bridges connect the broken tooth rows in a single unit. The bridge consists of two or more crowns placed on existing teeth – supporters, and artificial teeth – crowns, which fill the gap. Supporters of the bridge may be the natural teeth or the implants.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, ceramic, tooth-coloured covers, used to reduce the spacing between the teeth and to repair damaged enamel or coloured teeth. Unlike crowns, veneers cover only the front part of the tooth. While doing so, less tooth surface is removed during their implantation. These types of covers are an excellent choice for the front teeth, or in all other cases where the patient is not satisfied with their appearance.

Removable prosthetics

Removable prosthetics is used when, for various reasons, fixed work is not possible. Mobile dentures can be complete or partial.

Complete (total) dentures replace teeth in cases of complete teeth loss. It is recommended only as an alternative economical solution for treating edentulous jaws when the implant is not possible. Characteristics of mobile dentures are poor aesthetics, progressive bone loss and poor functionality.

Partial dentures are used when a patient is missing several teeth, but not all. It is done in cases when there is no possibility of making a bridge, or if the patient decides for the cheaper mobile substitite. The entire dentures can be made of plastic with clasps, and both of metal and plastic with clasps or with precise attachment connectors.

  • Complete dentures (acrylic and composite)
  • Partial acrylic dentures with wire clasps
  • Partial dentures with metal base and cast metal clasps (wironit or wizil dentures)

Fixed-removable prosthetics (combined work)

  • Partial dentures with a metal base connected to the bridge with a metal attachment ( clamps or connections)
  • Partial dentures with a metal base connected to the bridge with metal clasps and supporters
  • Unilateral partial dentures with a metal base connected to the bridge with a plastic attachment (clamps)
  • Telescopic and cone partial dentures with a metal base
  • Complete and partial dentures with a metal base fixed to the bar and copings
  • Removable metal-composite bridges

Prosthetics on implants

  • Crowns and bridges
  • Complete acrylic ball or locator dentures in the upper or lower jaw
  • Complete bar dentures with a metal base in the lower jaw
  • Reduced (abridged) bar dentures with a metal base (dentures without palate) in the upper jaw
  • Combined works
